Putting our yearly ornaments on the tree that Grammy and Papa sent to us.

This year we had to learn how to not touch the ornaments. At first we started with the touching with "one finger" rule, but quickly had to move to the "no touching" rule when even one finger was about to knock ornaments off the tree.

One of our fun traditions was opening the "doors" of the advent calendar every night. Lilly loved it and couldn't wait for Daddy to come home and finish dinner in order to, as she would say, "open the door".

Lilly had a great time opening presents and trying to wrap herself up afterwards.

All ready to celebrate!
Some of the memories that I am going to keep in my heart about this Christmas are watching Lilly as she would point and tell us with so much excitement as we drove by all the houses with lights "Mommy, Daddy, another one lights" or as she learned to sing "Away in the Manger" and "Happy Birthday to Jesus". These precious moments have been my Christmas present this year.

I love that she wanted to wrap herself up - that is sooo cute. Haylie loved the book with the doors too :) It is so fun to hear them understand the story of Christ's birth. :)
