A couple of weeks ago we took a vacation to San Diego and enjoyed some fun in the sun. This was our first big vacation since having Lilly and it was definately a little different than other vacations, especially the part about trying to explain to a 2 year old what "going on vacation" means. It was a foreign concept to her, but by the end of the trip I think Lilly was able to get the gist of it. All in all we had a great time together and got the much needed rest we were hoping for. Here's a few of our adventures...

SeaWorld was a lot of fun. We had a great time watching the Sea Lions barking/ begging to be fed. Lilly's favorites were by far the penguins and sea lions.

Here's Lilly's first trip to the beach. She was amazed at the waves and feeling of sand running under her feet. But playing chase with the waves was by far the most fun.

We enjoyed a lot of time at the pool where we were staying. It'd seemed to be one of the highlights of the "vacation home" as we called it while we were there. We were amazed at how comfortable Lilly became in the water over the week.

We also got to go to the Wild Animal Park which was pretty amazing to drive next to giraffes and lions or have a crocodile walk by you on a leash.
