The Song in My Head

So I'm taking this idea from a friend (thanks Sandy).

I thought I would share the song that has been in my head over the past couple of days. This past week has been one of the longest I have experienced in a very long time and I'm feeling a bit Bipolar. There have been very low lows....finding out about my aunt's accident... seeing her in the hospital....hearing about the continual complications and uncertainty and thinking about my family who is hurting so badly...learning about Jamey's family's very special friend passing away and knowing that they are hurting too.

What is a long week without highs too like, seeing the words "PASS" after taking my first licensing test for 4 hours (one more to go)... going to Phantom of the Opera with Jamey and dinner with my parents to celebrate my 30th birthday...spending time with special friends that I love and eating the amazing Pizookie to celebrate again.

We've also had a few interesting moments like, Lilly throwing up all over the hospital waiting room floor.

So in light of all of that God has been right there with me this week and the song that is in my head goes like this... (Chris Tomlin)

Our God is a God who saves
Our God is a God who saves

Let God arise
Let God arise
Our God reigns now and forever
He reigns now and forever

His enemies will run for sure
The church will stand, she will endure
He holds the keys of life, our Lord
Death has no sting, no final word

I am ever grateful to know a God who walks alongside of us and is the God who saves and reigns forever.

Amy, I feel so sorry for you and for your family having to endure the pain of this sudden accident, the uncertainty of it all, the loss of Jamey's family friend. When it rains it pours, I guess. We'll be praying for you (and your family) for sure---and we're rejoicing with you that you passed your exam! Congratulations my dear. You're awesome. (((MORE HUGS)))
